"Poppy" - vertical art print
The ancients believed sleep was a place you traveled to, and the poppy was what opened the door. Hypnos, the god of sleep, kept a cave where the flower grew so thick it blocked out all sound, where even running water learned to move quietly so as not to wake anyone. His son Morpheus slipped through that same darkness every night, borrowing the shapes of the living to visit the dreaming.
Across cultures and centuries, the poppy has stood at the threshold between waking and dreaming, between this world and whatever comes next.
This painting captures a single poppy in early spring light, one bloom open, one bud still waiting. The petals move from deep red at the center out to warm gold at the edges, lit from behind as if the sun is coming through them rather than landing on them. The background dissolves into soft washes of peach, teal, and gold, the kind of light that exists for about twenty minutes on a clear March morning.
This print works in a bedroom, a reading room, a meditation space, or anywhere you want something that feels both delicate and ancient.

Packaged in a sturdy mailer or shipping tube. If your print comes in a shipping tube, simply lay them out on a clean, dry surface for a couple of hours.
(Pro tip: lay facedown on a clean surface or the tissue paper it comes wrapped in, and lay a book on top to flatten quicker!)

The materials used are high quality and archival. Your beautiful art print will last a lifetime with proper care. Each print is cut to size with or without additional borders, depending on your choice.
➤ ABOUT FINE ART PAPER PRINTS:
The art prints are printed on heavyweight fine art cold-pressed paper. They have a slight texture similar to watercolor paper and are printed with highly pigmented ink. This luxurious matte paper allows for rich and vibrant colors.
➤ CARE:
Paper prints are more delicate, and it's highly recommended that your print be framed behind glass. If you can splurge on a frame with UV glass or acrylic, it's even better.
It isn't recommended to have your print out in the open, as they will get dirty from dust and everyday particles, which over time will affect the colors of the prints. Not to mention they can easily get damaged, particularly the corners.
