Every spring, in the low places where the land remembers water, the pools return.
They appear without warning, filling hollows that were dry and unremarkable just weeks before. Here for a season, gone by summer. They are some of the most biodiverse places on earth. Species that exist nowhere else breed only here, in these temporary waters, in this brief and specific moment of the year.

The old ones noticed them too. Still water appearing suddenly in the woods, ringed by ancient trees, catching the light in ways that standing water should not. They understood these places as liminal, neither fully land nor fully water, neither winter nor summer, existing in the threshold between one state and another. The kind of place where the boundary between what is seen and what is not grows thin enough to feel.

In this painting, moss-draped trees rising from dark water, lily pads catching the pale light, ferns unfurling at the edges, everything in the first tender green of something waking up. It is a scientific miracle dressed in the clothes of a dream.

This print belongs in a bedroom, a reading nook, a quiet corner of a room where you sometimes sit and think about the beauty of fleeting things.

➤ SHIPPING:
Packaged in a sturdy mailer or shipping tube. If your print comes in a shipping tube, simply lay them out on a clean, dry surface for a couple of hours.
(Pro tip: lay facedown on a clean surface or the tissue paper it comes wrapped in, and lay a book on top to flatten quicker!)

The materials used are high quality and archival. Your beautiful art print will last a lifetime with proper care. Each print is cut to size with or without additional borders, depending on your choice.

➤ ABOUT FINE ART PAPER PRINTS:
The art prints are printed on heavyweight fine art cold-pressed paper. They have a slight texture similar to watercolor paper and are printed with highly pigmented ink. This luxurious matte paper allows for rich and vibrant colors.

➤ CARE:
Paper prints are delicate, and it's highly recommended that your print be framed behind glass. If you can splurge on a frame with UV glass or acrylic, it's even better.
It isn't recommended to have your print out in the open, as they will get dirty from dust and everyday particles, which over time will affect the colors of the prints. Not to mention they can easily get damaged, particularly the corners.
