Every old story has a warning in it.

Don't stray from the path. Don't follow the lights. Don't step inside the ring.

The fairy rings of Celtic folklore were not fairy tales. They were a cautionary tale, a circle of mushrooms appearing overnight in the woods where no mushrooms had been before, marking the place where the fair folk had danced. The old ones said time moved differently inside them. That a girl who stepped in might step out changed, in another time, belonging to neither world entirely.

She knows the stories. She is going anyway.

This painting holds the moment of decision. The ring glows around her, the mushrooms luminous and red against the dark between the trees, she is a light in the wood. Whatever she is walking toward, the candle is small. The forest is not.

Some stretches of dark you have to walk through on your own terms, with whatever small light you have.

Packaged in a sturdy mailer or shipping tube. If your print comes in a shipping tube, simply lay them out on a clean, dry surface for a couple of hours.
(Pro tip: lay facedown on a clean surface or the tissue paper it comes wrapped in, and lay a book on top to flatten quicker!)

➤ PRINTED TO ORDER: These gorgeous art prints are printed on demand. Please allow some time for us to prepare your order. Usually 5-7 business days.
The materials used are high quality and archival. Your beautiful art print will last a lifetime with proper care. Each print is cut to size with or without additional borders, depending on your choice.

➤ ABOUT FINE ART PAPER PRINTS:
The art prints are printed on heavyweight fine art cold-pressed paper. They have a slight texture similar to watercolor paper and are printed with highly pigmented ink. This luxurious matte paper allows for rich and vibrant colors.

➤ CARE:
Paper prints are more delicate, and it's highly recommended that your print be framed behind glass. If you can splurge on a frame with UV glass or acrylic, it's even better.

It isn't recommended to have your print out in the open, as they will get dirty from dust and everyday particles, which over time will affect the colors of the prints. Not to mention they can easily get damaged, particularly the corners.
