There is a pool at the end of the world where nine hazel trees drop their nuts into the water. The salmon who feeds on them absorbs everything. Every story. Every secret. Every answer to every question anyone has ever thought to ask.

The poet Finegas spent seven years trying to catch it. Seven years on the bank of the sacred pool, patient and certain that this was the knowledge he had been searching for his whole life. When he finally pulled it from the water, he gave it to his young apprentice Fionn to cook, with strict instructions not to taste it.

Fionn burned his thumb on the skin. He put it in his mouth without thinking.
In that moment he knew everything there was to know. Finegas looked at the boy and understood immediately what had happened. He had spent seven years learning patience. He simply said: eat the rest of it. It was always meant for you.

This painting captures the salmon in its sacred space, ancient and knowing, spirals carved into the stones around it, the dark water holding whatever it holds. It is a painting about wisdom, and waiting, and the moments that change everything without warning.

This print belongs in a studio, a library, a reading room, or anywhere you are in the middle of a long and patient search for something you have not found yet.

➤ SHIPPING:
Packaged in a sturdy mailer or shipping tube. If your print comes in a shipping tube, simply lay them out on a clean, dry surface for a couple of hours.
(Pro tip: lay facedown on a clean surface or the tissue paper it comes wrapped in, and lay a book on top to flatten quicker!)

➤ PRINTED TO ORDER: These gorgeous art prints are printed on demand. Please allow some time for us to prepare your order. Usually 5-7 business days.
The materials used are high quality and archival. Your beautiful art print will last a lifetime with proper care. Each print is cut to size with or without additional borders, depending on your choice.

➤ ABOUT FINE ART PAPER PRINTS:
The art prints are printed on heavyweight fine art cold-pressed paper. They have a slight texture similar to watercolor paper and are printed with highly pigmented ink. This luxurious matte paper allows for rich and vibrant colors.

➤ CARE:
Paper prints are more delicate, and it's highly recommended that your print be framed behind glass. If you can splurge on a frame with UV glass or acrylic, it's even better.
It isn't recommended to have your print out in the open, as they will get dirty from dust and everyday particles, which over time will affect the colors of the prints. Not to mention they can easily get damaged, particularly the corners.
